Dig and Clean Rarities & Items

All 16 Dig & Clean rarities in order (Update 8 added Infinite), the beam colour each one glows in the sand, item conditions, and how to decide whether to sell a find or keep it for your museum.

Quick answer

Dig and Clean has 16 rarities as of Update 8 (lowest → highest): Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic → Divine → Eternal → Transcendent → Omega → Anomaly → Paradox → Singularity → Genesis → Primordial → Infinite. Rarity is only confirmed after you spray an item clean; the beam colour in the sand is your first clue.

Odds are the entry point of each band (its most common item) from community item databases rebuilt after Update 2. Paradox and Singularity odds are community-reported. Genesis, Primordial and Infinite odds are unpublished, and their beam colours come from gameplay videos (Sep 2026). The developers have never released official drop rates — always trust the cleaned item card in-game.

Junk & Common–Rare

Sell for Gold to fund shovel and detector upgrades. Keep only a first copy for the museum.

Epic–Divine

Museum candidates early; sell duplicates once your display slots are full of better finds.

Eternal–Omega

Strong keeps. Lock them so they cannot be sold by accident, then sell only true duplicates.

Anomaly → Singularity

Endgame trophies. Display them first. The game announces these spawns on screen.

Genesis, Primordial, Infinite

The newest tiers (Updates 5, 6, 8). Some Genesis/Primordial items are forge ingredients at the Volcano, so check the Forgemaster's recipe before selling.

How finds work

In Dig & Clean you detect a buried spot, dig it up, then spray it clean to reveal the item's rarity, condition, weight, and 1-in-X value. Conditions seen in-game run from OK and Good up through Great, Perfect, Mint, Pristine (Update 3) and Immaculate (Update 6). The Polisher (or an admin Instant Polish) pushes a find up the ladder. One AllThingsHow example took a Phoenix from Great (222.8T) to Immaculate (1.9Qd). Mutations add more value: Meteorite from meteor showers (Update 4) and Jack-o'-lantern from the Halloween Event (Update 8).

Sell vs. display

Most finds get sold for Gold to fund gear upgrades. Keep the rarest copy of each item for your museum and sell duplicates. See the selling guide for the decision rule.

What drives rarity

Detector luck, island luck, Totems, quest boosts, codes, the Free Luck menu, hourly Event Luck, 2x Luck Weekends and Admin Abuse all push the odds toward higher tiers. Moving to a newer island matters as much as upgrading gear. See the farming guide for the full luck stack and the Halloween Event guide for Infinite.

Rarity FAQ

How many rarities are in Dig and Clean?

Sixteen as of Update 8 (Sep 27, 2026): Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Divine, Eternal, Transcendent, Omega, Anomaly, Paradox, Singularity, Genesis (Update 5), Primordial (Update 6) and Infinite (Update 8).

What is the rarest rarity in Dig and Clean?

Infinite, added with the Halloween Event in Update 8, is the newest top tier. It glows pure black in the sand. Below it sit Primordial (huge bright-yellow beam, Update 6) and Genesis (grey, yellow and pink beam, Update 5). The developers do not publish odds for any of the three. Paradox (Update 3) has reported odds of about 1 in 700 billion to 1 in 6 trillion.

Is Rainbow a rarity in Dig and Clean?

No. Rainbow is the beam colour of the Transcendent tier. Many guides mistake it for its own rarity.

How do I get rarer items in Dig and Clean?

Stack luck. Buy the best detector on the newest island you can afford (Tombstone Tides has 64x island luck), equip luck Totems from the Yeti on Frozen Shores, claim quest luck boosts, redeem SECRET10 and UPDATE3, drink Candy Corn luck potions during the Halloween Event, and farm during 2x Luck Weekends, hourly Event Luck and Admin Abuse.
